Howdy Erin! Sorry its taken me a few days to get to this...I am lazy and a major procrastinator! I should be held down and beaten with small sticks until it slightly stings! Anyways...
Don't worry about it! ok...
well...personally my favorite BFS songs are "my hometown" and "boulevard" what is your favorite bfs song?
My fave BFS song is "Last Rock Show" I think that song really sums up what our band is all about. I'll leave
it to you to listen to the words!
Do you have someone who has really inspired you?
I am a former athlete so I grew up looking up to professional athletes. I did realize pretty early in life of the humanity of people that we put on pedestals so I hafta answer with all honesty that the people I have always respected and admired most in life were some of the teachers and friends I had in life who guided me to seek knowledge and wisdom in life and to do the things that fulfill me. I dont think that many musicians, actors, athletes, or people in the position of role models really fill that position for people.
Last month i went to your concert at the House of Blues in chicago, and i had a blast! Has this tour been everything you expected?
This tour has been the best ever. All the bands are wonderful. Not only are they all nice and friendly and loveable, but the bill rocks every night. It fills good to put on such a great show every night.
What is the most embarassing thing that has ever happened to you or someone else on stage?
These happen from time to time. It usually is when someone falls down. It has been a while since my last fall. Last time I fell was probably about 7 years ago. My cable wrapped around my legs and I tried to step back and down I went. I hit my head on my amp and got knocked loopy. I lay on my back trying to figure out what happened and when I finally tried to get up, I fell again because my legs were too woozy. I think everybody thought I was trying to be funny. I ended up with a nice cut on my head and a big headache. I went on with the show though. I just drank a few more beers.
What do you like to do when you are not performing?
I am married now so I love to spend time with my wife. I also love to fish, play golf, bowl, go to shows, and just plain goof off.
What is the best thing about being in a band?
The brotherhood between yourself, your bandmates and your crew.
just out of curiousity what is your favorite color?
Green!
ok lets talk m&ms. . . plain or peanut?
Peanut!
Do you have any sort of motto you live by?
Not really, however, being successful in life means making good life decisions. One bad decision could really screw things up. SO keep your head screwed on right and do the right things.
and lastly, do you have any advice for people like me who want to be in a band someday?
Dont get too ahead of yourself! Learn to play your instrument before you try to be a star. Stay humble and dont set too many goals. Just get together with your friends to have fun and make music. Let the business take care of itself. Most people just want to be stars. Thats never good. Those dreams always end in disaster. Keep it simple and keep it real.
I believe your mom wanst to know my favorite soup...its wisconsin cheese soup. My second fave is Tom Kah Gai soup...its Thai soup.
